After lunch, walk through the terraced paddy fields - a centuries-old system that uses intricate irrigation channels and mixed-crop methods. Morning excursion to Dzulekie, known for forested slopes, cliff-cut streams, and sightings of rare species like the Blyth’s tragopan (Nagaland’s state bird). Optional walk along the shaded river gorge, depending on interest and energy. Lunch stop in Kohima before continuing to Kigwema, one of the oldest Angami villages. Early drive to Viswema trailhead, the gentler ascent route into the valley. Begin trek, gradually climbing to the ridge and reaching the rest point where the climb ends and the valley begins. Continue into the wide, green basin of Dzukou Valley - known for its seasonal blooms, natural stone shelters, and panoramic meadows. Time for lunch, quiet reflection, photography, and unhurried exploration. Trek back down to Viswema or Jakhama, where the vehicle meets you. Return to homestay for a warm meal and rest .
